This album contains photos taken on 24 Feb 07, during CNY. We SKNCC cadets visited Mr Ng. After that, we went to Kovan for Pizza Hut. Then we proceeded for Bowling and Pool. Wow.. enjoyed ourselves till 11.30pm!!!

23/2/07 Friday....

Today... Training ok ok... but to me, a very bad day for me....

Today my chinese teacher not here so no SSP after 12.30pm, after the bell rings, i went out of class to the log room, pick my no.4 and go home, of course take taxi go home la.... Go home rest for a while then prepare my no.4 and i went to bath... After bathing, i change into no.4 pack my no.1 stuffs and go to school by bus.... It was 2.30pm when i reach school, i went straight to the log room, i saw evan wearing half no.1, so i quickly run to log room and change to half-no.1 lo... Mr Pinto talk to me regarding today's deadline of CIP, administrative work for the CIP... I sit down on the floor near to the class 1N7, use the concrete bench as table to edit the CIP admin stuff, the SCLT Seow come to me and said :" U are wearing no.1, u shouldn't be sitting on the floor ! "... I stand up and sit on the concrete bench... I issue the CIP reflection form to all the cadets, after they write finish, i need to arrange back according to their levels... I rush to com lab 3 to comfirm Mr Sharizal about the CIP video, then when i was going to the company fall in line, Evan, Feng Yuan come and find me, they told me : " Howe Liang, u onli have 5 mins to report to the SCLT before ur post is taken by Bernard ! " I was stun, then we quickly run to the ground floor and i ran to see that SCLT...

" Yes Sir " I said, he replied : " what u doing ?" I told him :'' I'm having discussion with my CIP video " He scolded me a malay vulgar, something like "balam buto" i know wat it means..... Then i go and see Mr Pinto, he asked me :'' Howe Liang, where did you go ? " I replied :" I went to see Mr Sharizal regarding the CIP video ! " Mr Pinto said :" Well done !".. I continue to do the admin stuff..

When it's time for us to train for the speech day rehearsal, we the key personnel rush and see that SCLT, he speak to us :" Now we are going to start the rehearsal, go and prepare ur items" We took our equipment, today i was holding the black stick cause Gin Wee use my Pace Stick as a sword, i got no choice cause use the black stick as sword will be very funny, then we started to march in and march out... practice and practice, i kept making mistake cause some sequence are wrong, so we often have "semula"(means return to the previous step), i was often lecture because of doing fault marching and so on... That %$@ SCLT keep saying that i give the wrong command but not always ma....saying wat the colour party kept spacing out, UG's marching like cannot make it, Red Cross marching like %$&#, Girl Guides henta wasn't good, my pace stick hit Shamsuree all this. Me, Evan and Feng Yuan started to like having a deep hatred towards him....

The serious case was the 2nd last rehearsal, when i didn't give timing for my colour party, he shouted at me : " Colour RSM, one more time i see you never say the timing again, you watch out, Colour RSM, see me later ! ". After the entire rehearsal, i went to see him, he talk to me in a nice manner : " Colour RSM.... Wat hapeen to you, is something bothering you or wat, tell me ? " , i shake my head... He said : " Tell me what happened ?", I explain to him :" That time u asked Wilson to give timing , then later u asked me to give timing, i'm very confused, so will it be me or Wilson, i don't know who should give the timing, so i just keep my mouth zip." That SCLT replied : " Ok .. it's not ur fault, i also actually has fault too, i apologize to you, colour RSM should lead his colour party, tell them to coordinate, work like a team, not holding to your post and don't do anything , ok...Everything is now settled, you may go... ".

I went with the companies to have a debrief and dismissal, after dismissal, i went to talk with Ai Cheang and Yong Kuang, we saw that the SCLT pump Feng Yuan and those who didn't tuck in thier shirt when wearing no.4....

Evan and me went to log room, Feng Yuan on the way went home, me and Evan went to basketball court and play basketball, after 7.30pm, we went straight home !!!

Just upgrade my com like vista version, very happy....

Girl Guides thinking day...

15 Feb 07 (Total Defence Day / Training)

Today, the training was quite ok as there's total defence day, in the morning we have to be in school by 6.50 am, we fall in the platoon in front of canteen, after that we were told to assemble beside the hall, so we told our platoon to fall in beside the hall.... We have attire check before, we do the final preparation... I was told to give info to other UG's head about wat's going to happen during the singing of national anthem sequence and pledge taking sequence....that was very tired as i have to run around the hall to told the head of each UG's.... During when Mr Leong was giving his long speech, our leg's were like jelly as we stand for long period without taking a break....Some of them fallout... After the Total Defence commemaration, we went outside NCC room and brief them about wat's going to happen later this afternoon... Then we dismiss them to their classes for their activities....When i went back to my clas, my whole class shouted :" left, left, left, right left"..... That was funny eventually... I saw my form teacher Mr Tan wearing his uniform, then i disturb him saying he wear mata shirt, then he say me army kia..... We continue the total defence activity, after 45 mins like that, Raj walk pass my class, saw him holding on to his pe shirt, then my brain thought of changing no.4 into half-u, as it's very hot and sweaty, but not worse since the fan and light is still switch on.... So i went to toilet with Raj to change unform.... Until the afternoon, i went to my class for english ssp, my english ssp starts at 2.00pm, since mdm zuerina is not here until 2.30pm when mrs suresh said that mdm zuerina is busy about the parade... So Faris told me : " Howe Liang !!! , go ah ", then i pack my things and chiong to NCC room... put my things and change into no.4, pollish my boots and went to the blue colour benches in front of the canteen and see what's going on there... Each UG's are busy having training on their drills, we NCC planing on the marching spots and marking of the spot for the contingent... Until 5.00pm, i was told by Wilson to get UG's flag bearer to meet Wilson.... After the UG's flag bearer had gather in front of him, we pass them the flag sling and flag pole, it's quite heavy... I only hold onto my shining pace stick... Then Gin Wee ask me to get Girl Guides marching contingent to fall in in front of the cubicle, after that, me and Gin Wee saw that the benches block the space for Hafizah to stand.... So we shift it to a side and brief them on the commanding sequence.... After that, we started a mini parade rehearsal, to check on our fault... It was quite funny as the GOH contingent was standing beside the blue wall with my colour party.... Because the stupid palm tree block the way, so now the teachers are thinking of changing the place to cubicle that side... As people can see much more of our marching....After that  Mr Raj told us to squeeze and gather in front of him, he brief us on the common fault which we have done, later we march again and again.... At the last part, he scolded the whole UG's , $#@%.... Hm.... But juz like ignoring him like that.... He said that Girl Guides dont know wat henta muz 90 degrees la, NPCC marching cannot make it including Red Cross and NCC.... He scolded Wilson for his fringe and his hair behind touches the collar... At last his retribution for scolding us, which is his soccer team lost in the match... 3 - 1... Ah haha...... Then we have a mini rehearsal for the flag party and we call it a day....

15/2/07 Thursday....

After Total Defence Day event, the UG's gonna have a master parade around the afternoon at around 5.30pm.....There will be dry run and rehearsal...Pls polish ur boots and iron ur no.4, BRING BADGES ALSO....And BERET....

My Brown Pace Stick, gonna be used on the actual speech day and rehearsal....

This is the pace stick which i'm going to hold on the speech day and rehearsal....The flag bearers will be wearig the flag sling, it's quite bulky but not heavy...

My second plastic spectacle

The spec has been badly damaged since the bike incident on the 30th september 2006, i won't forget about what happen on that day....

Gonna say goodbye to it....Can't be use anymore due to damage and unstable plus scratches on the lens....thanks for you to be with me for the 4 years since i was primary 6, gonna replace u with new spectacle....

(1) TOTAL DEFENCE DAY ON 15 FEB (THURS). ALL CADETS TO WEAR FULL UNIFORM. BETTER BRIEF EVAN TO CHANGE WHATEVER CADETS BOOTS, UNIFORM, etc by then. I DON'T WANT ANY CADETS WITH EXCUSES FOR NOT BEING IN UNIFORM. USE THE NOTICEBOARD TO UPDATE ALL CADETS AND PASS MSG ON TUESDAY.

I would like:
(1) updated NOTICE BOARD (by Monday 12/2)
(2) updated nominal roll (fill in yellow blanks for ranks, etc)
(3) the namelist of all the 40 cadets who WITHDREW No1
(4) the names ticked of all those cadets who have returned their No1 to our NCC room.
(5) get Loga to get the remaining No 1 from Part Bs by Tuesday 13/2. My advice is for you to better chase him to do it.

(2) - (5) TO BE DONE BY TUESDAY 13/2 AFTER ARMS DRILL TRAINING. NO MORE DELAYS, PLEASE. FOUR HEADS WILL ROLL IF ITS NOT DONE...

We draw our NO.1 in the Amoy Quee HQ...That includes 5 golden spear flag pole for the UG's flag, 2  new brown pace stick for Xuan Rong and Me... 6 dummy stick, 3 red slash, 4 flag bearers belt...Yeah !!!

Speech Day 2007

Where this is my first to wear no.1 in school...
Holding Sword or Pace-stick ???
Going to HQ at 10am, so i will be release from class before 10 am, to go to HQ draw my sword and GOH's arm...

2/2/07 Friday Training....

2/2/07...

The training was a bit of happy and sorrow, the new Part A's which is under me, the strength is still ok... 9 cadet....max was 20 put Mr Pinto discuss with the PE Dept to increase the part a's strength... After that, the part B,C and D's went for P.T until 4.30pm... After 4.30pm.. SCLT Benjamin (that guy who share the same sir name with me) come down for the Speech Day Post selection and marking out of the parade... He taught us by using the pace-stick to measure the distance between each contingent and commanders.... Ask us to label the mark by placing duck tapes on the ground, some time he let us guess which place is for the contingent commander to stand at ???.... Feng Yuan was the first one to be lectured by the SCLT.. Because he labelled the tape not straight... Some of us were also like Feng Yuan... Kanna lectured or scolded...

After the labelling of the parade... He told us that now we are going to have a selection for the parade post such as Parade RSM, Flag RSM, Contingent Commander, Contingent Commander 2IC, 1st & 2nd conducting specialist, Flag Escort... Wei Xuan, Bernard, Xuan Rong, Yong Kuang, Yuh Yang and Vinod came for the selection.... That SCLT gave us 10 mins to dress ourselves properly, check on our attire, memorise the command, after 10 mins... Me, Xuan Rong, Yong Kuang, Yuh Yang, Shamsuree, Evan, Feng Yuan fall in in front of that SCLT... He brief us about what is going to be tested later.... After he brief us... He told us to stand in front of the parade square, on the yellow colour box which label the classes, facing toward the field... Sad thing is Wei Xuan is out because he didn't wear his uniform... After that... That SCLT walk towards each of us and check on our attire and record the score on the scoreboard.... After the end of that attire check, he gave us 10 mins to relax oueselves for the next test.

After 10 mins, we fall in at the parade square, that SCLT brief us about what's going to happen next...he told us : " Now i'm going to hear u'll shouting your commands,  shout out that long command : " Baris Sedia.. Baris Akan Ber jalan Lalu Dalam Masa Chepat, Kowalan-Kohonatan Jalan Da-hulu Bergerak Ke-Kanan Ke-Kanan Pusing...Dari Kiri Chepat Jalan...". after that command i give u'll the signal to march yourself off  the parade square... Again we stand at the previous position... Shouting the command... After shouting the command, the SCLT told us to go to have a rest, later he's going to tell us the result, after discussion with the SCLT , Wilson and Gin Wee... The SCLT call me and Yong Kuang to stand in front of the flag pole facing the field... I'm going to have a compete with Yong Kuang cause me and Yong Kuang's score is the same... After that, he told us :" Ok... you may go..." , we'll sit in front of canteen and discuss who's gonna be in which post all this...

After the SCLT, Wilson and Gin Wee discuss finished, they come in front of us and told us our post in order : " The Parade Commander will be Gin Wee, Parade RSM goes to Xuan Rong,  Parade RSM reserve goes to Yong Kuang, Wilson is Flag RSM and Me is Colour RSM (escort the flag party) . Contingent Commander goes to Shamsuree, Contingent 2IC goes to Raj, Ist and 2nd Conducting Specialist goes to Yuh Yang and Feng Yuan (which means they had to stand on the platform holding onto the pace stick and shout this command "Pandang Ka-kanan Pandang & Pandang Ka-Hadapan Pandang"...... Bernard doesn't have any post.... I don't know why... But the exciting moment is over but more challenge yet to come, next training the people who hold on to the list of command sequence has to remember the whole command sequence... That is Me, Shamsuree, Xuan Rong, Gin Wee and Wilson... Got so many, how to remember.....
