My summary and conclusion for the *Scape Mall Soft Opening Ceremony...

Today everyone did a great job and I really like to thank you'll!! 

The 2 of us, Janice and me really had fun in the appearance for the 25 semi-finalist Scape Media Ambassador, because we are the only contestants who are in costumes while the others had to wear the black shirt and interact with the judges. We even had a photo session with the judges in our costume lo...

I really really want to thanks to those ppl who had come down and support the 2 of us in the contest!! 

They are Reno(Gingy), Rocky(China PMC/Chief Miller), OJ(Ghost from MW2), Rafi(Blackwaters PMC), Tim(Master Chief), Don(SWAT), Dave(Predator), BT members, Bryan(Storm Trooper), Barry(Green Ranger), Mathias(Lone gunman) and ALL THOSE WHO ARE IN COSTUMES... They are the ones who MASS ENTERING to the *Scape New Building lvl 2 Warehouse to support us in their costumes!!

Thank You all for supporting & voting for me in the NEW MEDIA AMBASSADOR. I have manage to get into Top 15. And I will be appearing on Scape at The Youth Park, this Sat(27 Mar) from 3pm onwards. There will be local bands performing such as Returning Ambience, Rach & Friends, Gd Morning High 5, Barricade, City Escape, For This Cycle and more... Do come and join in the concert and GET HIGH!!! This coming Saturday, there will be PMCs, ACU, Multicam, Seal Team, 82th Airborne Lady Officer, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller(Green Zone), Special Force, Deltas and many more appearance there with dam lots of youths... So if you are free or nth to do at home, come down and join us!!

Apple's 'Mecca Project' Insults Islam? Not at all... It wasn't meant to...

Now it's "cube-shaped" buildings? Surely, they're joking.

Is there anything that doesn't "insult Islam" in the minds of Muslims these days? Appartently not, and this time its just a cube-shaped building:

On October 10, 2006, an Islamic website posted a message alerting Muslims to what it claims is a new insult to Islam. According to the message, the cube-shaped building which is being constructed in New York City, on Fifth Avenue between 58th and 59th Streets in midtown Manhattan, is clearly meant to provoke Muslims. The fact that the building resembles the Ka'ba (see picture below), is called "Apple Mecca," is intended to be open 24 hours a day like the Ka'ba, and moreover, contains bars selling alcoholic beverages, constitutes a blatant insult to Islam. The message urges Muslims to spread this alert, in hope that "Muslims will be able to stop the project."

From The Register we learn that it's a bit late to stop the project since the store opened for business back in May (gee, too bad). However, the building is not called the "Apple Mecca", it "does not serve alcoholic beverages, and neither Jack Straw nor Salman Rushdie work behind the counter." So the outraged members of what many believe to be the religion of perpetual outrage should be able to breathe more easily, until they find some other ridiculous offense to become outraged over - again.

Jawa Report writes: "They claim they don't worship Idols. But replicate their cube and they get all hissy about it."

Update (Sept 2, 09): There have been many comments on this post since it was first put up 3 years ago, many from Muslims angry over what they claim is an insult to their religion - even though it has been made clear from the time this post was first put up that it was a Muslim website that called it the Apple Mecca project, not Apple, and that the above construction image is not actually called "Apple's Mecca Projecct," by Apple. It "does not serve alcoholic beverages, and neither Jack Straw nor Salman Rushdie work behind the counter." Apparently, this isn't clear enough for Muslims to understand so here is the actual image of the completed structure (which is actually the entrance way to the store below. This image can easily found on the Internet had anyone taken the time to look it up before getting their panties all in a bunch).

Let's recall once again that this post was, after all, initially about the "MUSLIM WEBSITE" calling it "Apple's Mecca Project" and an "insult to Islam." Get it?:

We can only hope this helps Muslims to take a breath and relax now.
