TRIP TO RSAF OPEN HOUSE AT PAYA LEBAR AIR BASE !!! 30/8/08

What a tired day ... Spending half the day at the air base walking around and collect free items ... Went there with Rafi ... Was waiting for him at the HG Bus Interchange, around 9pm he arrive and we both board the free shuttle bus toe the destination ... Meanwhile on the bus chit chat with him and also listening to what the tour guide has to say ... Reach there and took lots of pivtures at the entrance and went to the fiarground ... Had to line a long queue for x-ray checking ... Spend about 10 mins queuing up ... Got inside and took a pic with the guards and went to the info counter to redeem the tag from the scratch and win bookmark ... Then continue our walk and go the the real entrance and fill in our particulars on the lucky draw ride coupon ... And walk around the place to drop the coupon ... Then it was 10 am ... Both of us chiong to the aerial display and sit at the grand stand ... WHOA !! Start already !! Really dam nice ... Still show us how the jet fighter take off and intercept an unidentified aircraft and also to counter terrorist ... Bombing and explosive effects were involved so it's rally dam nice ... Somemore, both of us can felt the impact upon the explosion, it was like a strong wind just blow towards you like that !! The jet engine was super freaking loud ... ROAR until both of our ears got numb for awhile ... WHOA, taking off more worse ah, full jet power and takeoff plus afterburner somemore ... Took lots of pictures on the weapon and vehicle been displayed ... And also collecting free gifts ... Especially the Boeing company booth, took a small frisbee and 3 poster from them ... While i took a photo with one of the memberfrom Lockheed Martin, Talk about Lockheed Martin, i rmb the weapon call "JASSM" it somehow reads like Joint Air to Surface Stand off Missile !! It was created by them, including the SR-71 Blackbird which was a supersonic aircraft capable of capturing image at high speed, it's also the fastest plane in the world !! Had our lunch at a shelter, bought ramly burger for our lunch. Sit outside a shelter, taking a box and use it as a table and put down our stuffs and eat ... After eating then we slack and talk for awhile before continuing our journey, walk until 2.30pm and Rafi left the place to attend his Akido class ... So went to Main stage at hanger 3 ... Was catching the SPDS doing their rifle spins and toss ... Then mediacorp artist Jessica Liu went up on stage to introduce herself and then sing song ... And it's Know Your Airforce contest prize giving time, i've won a mini plane model ... YEAH !! My name was called and i was shock at first, "SEOWHOWELIANG" then i quickly raise up my hand and shout as i was sitting at the 1st row ... The 88.3 DJ said this guy was born on 1991 oh !!! Haha !! Present my EZ-Link card to Jessica Liu and she comfirmed and present the prize to me and she say thank you i also say thank you ... YES !!! Wu hu ... Left the main stage so that i could get a good sit to watch the evening aerial display ... WTH, it started to drizzle, i was still sitting there, then it started to get bigger and bigger. So i chiong to below of the grandstand and took shelter, follow like what other people were doing ... Then the rain keeps getting bigger. WAH !! And i bath in the rain liao lo !! Got myself wet, others also. So the personnel distribute the poncho to us and tell us to put on ... Put on already and they told us to go the Building there to take shelter as there's lightning .. So i double my pace and walk to the building and take shelter ... Rain for like about 20 mins !! Rain getting smaller and smaller and finally stop, so i went out and sit at the original sit before the rain started ... WAH !! Aerial Display postpone until further notice ... And the time was 4.15pm ... WAH, then announcement made at 4.30pm. 5.45pm then commence ... Wah !! So i was sitting there slacking, the commentator very funny leh ... Saw the rainbow and tell us to spend the rest of the time enjoying the beautiful scenery of rainbow right in front of us !! Haha !! Well, it's beautiful seriously !! And yeah, the aerial display commence, engine started to roar out lout, taking off with afterburner and attack ... Was focusing on the wet ground, when the jet was turning to it's position, the water on the ground started to splash ... Just look at the awesome power of the jet engines ... Smoke and explosion effect were used ... After aerial display, decided to went back home straight away !! REALLY HAD FUN OVER THERE !! vIDEOS OF THE AERIAL DISPLAY WILL BE UPLOADED ... watch it !!
