Ok, i was appointed as the First Aider/Logistic IC/Runner for Camp Commandant in the camp ... It was somehow tiring on some part but most of all there will be a long relaxing period for me !! Ok let me start from day 1 to day 3 !!
Day 1 - 5th Feb
Wake up in the morning ard 6.45am, wash up and had my breakfast !! And move out ... Took bus no.s 161 to the nearest NCH bus stop and alight, i alight when the students alight la ... Then make my way in, and i was somehow like the last person to be there, well most of them are camp trainers while i'm not and i was like "Oh no, i'm late !!" Then join in the briefing for the camp trainer ... Then Anuar introduce to them abt me ... I saw a few familiar faces of those camp i had went for belaying ... Said hi to them ... Then after which we make our way to the hall to meet the campers ... Slowly Anuar introduce the campers to the trainers, after that they will be given a group name ... Well their theme of the camp is superheroes ... There's Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Ultraman, Ninja turtles, Incredible Hulk, Captain Planet, Powerpuff girls ... I only rmb this few grp name ... Ah haha, then they had their poster making and so my job has started, pass 1 to 2 mahjong paper to grp by grp, running here and there giving them markers and necessary items for drawing ... Then become photographer for the the day, running here and there some of the grps are doing ice-breaking while others are doing their posters ... Well, run ard the school and took lots of photos ... Yeah, i was praised by Ismail for one of a very nice shooted photo, which is where the grps are form in circles and they sit on the straight road, circle follow by another circle at the side and then went to take a picture an it was very nice seriously !! There was once Kristen's grp had to do a grp march ard the place, and the grp shout their teacher's name so and so with tempo and it was very funny ... Ok, after poster making i had to count and keep the markers and also to make sure that all the markers are in ... And then Ismail said he wanted to have a mass game at ard 10.15am and so they make their way to the field, i had to run ard the place to tell all the grp trainers to gather their grps fast at the field ... Ok, the game there gonna play is call Captains On The Deck ... Ah haha, then suddenly the game was rounded and rounded from 160+ students to like 5 students, then there was a student not feeling well and so i had to attend to her ... Asked her to sit on the bench and watch their friends playing lo ... It was really dam fun la !! Then after that, we had our lunch in the school. Ok, now half of the campers are going for their dragon boatings and so i had to pack up everything while they are changing ... Pack everything into Anuar's van ... Check the stocks all this ... Then crowd control !! After that, i get onto Anuar's van and make our way to Kallang Sea Training Centre. Went there and saw some NCC TCO doing their kayak and i was like looking at them, then they look back at me and i saw Sir Herald there ... Ok, back to my camping, had to do crowd control again, gather them in 2 lines and sit on the ground ... When they are filling their waters i had to go to the toilet and patrol lo, there was alot of jam overthere and AK were like shouting here and there, blowing his whistle ... I control the water flowing ... After which we issue them with life vest and their oak ... Then step on the boat attach to Wei Qi's(female trainer) grp as she didn't attend the dragon boat training !! And i go and be idiot and sit at the back of the boat which she should be the one sitted at the back !! And i bo pian had to ask the students to turn their faces back and look at me while i teach them the 2 ways of paddling "Short and long"...Then when i was doing the short pull which is a fast paddling, the water splash and anyhow hit the teacher and the teacher was wet, the teacher just laughing and said "Oey, Oey, Oey !!" Then i was laughing and apologize !! Well, paddle to the Benjamin Sheares Bridge there and to the Suspension Bridge there and while in the water we splash water onto one another and onto other ship la, then the teacher of the grp is very funny ... He say our grp always splash water at other boat already we run away !! HIT AND RUN !! Ah haha, eventually it really was we splash water at them an we run away !! While the teacher can hit the water with at least a distance of 4 to 5m ... WOAH !! Ok, after we reach the suspension bridge the competition is abt to start liao, ready and go ... Whistle was blown to signal the start and we were like rowing like hell !! Water anyhow splash !! We didn't manage to get first but they enjoy their dragon boating alot ... Ok, now is the difficult part for trainers liao which we had to patrol at the toilets there as they are changing ... Again, we are rushing them to change faster as the queue gets longer ... Rush here and there lo ... Dispatch them here and there ... Finally it has ended and i went back to Anuar's van to make our trip to the campsite ... Ok, teach the place already and it was like WOAH, seems to be an abandon school but was brought by MOE for camping facilities ... Reach there and walk ard the place to know the place well firstly ... Unload things from Anuar's van and put it into the cookhouse there which was the logistic table ... Then put on my First Aid bag and walk ard the place to see the environment, it was a great one ... When u go to the field and u can feel the natural wind which is like wa lao dam shiok la !! Nice smell of natural air !! Ok, walk ard the place to check thsoe people doing rockwall, zipline and abseiling. Then had to run back to the logistic table and take the documents to let the EFIs and belayer to write their name and sign on the paper to collect their pay when the pay day is here !! And then i told Shaun that there was fish for dinner !! And he was dam happy saying "Yes, got fish to eat already" !! And then he told me that the uncle who supply the food was Anuar's uncle ... Then sign finish already had to check the logistic item ... Tick here and there ... After which proceed to the canteen to have my dinner and then proceed to the hall to have take photos of students who are playing animal call, they were blindfolded and had to say the animal noise lo ... There was once which the trainers lead the campers until they hit one another which i was like laughing like hell with some trainers in silence ... And took pictures of trainers doing funny action at the campers lo ... While the other half of the campers were doing their campfire prep. ard the place. Ok, 2nd half of the grp in and they also play the animal call, again students making the animal noise to get to one another. Then there was a stop in between of the game which we saw one group of students had gather but there was 2 boys, one of them lye on the lap and the back one hug the front one and so i go and slowly slot my hand in and somehow do a hug action too, and picture taken !! Ah haha, again trainers laugh like hell in silence !! Ok, after that game half of the camper will go for their showing and debriefing and the other half went for their supper ... After which they had to sleep at 12.15am latest ... And so trainers had to walk ard the room to check and make sure they are asleep, there was once when one of the room was flashing torchlite and Alvin a.k.a Handsome walk in to force the students to come out !! Ok, check already and everything is good and we had our debrief and briefing for the nxt day ... Then went to shower and go to sleep ...
Casualties reporting ?? There were abt 7 already, some were abrasion from dragonboat slip and fall, some were small cut by something ... Some were not feeling well and had to rest at the sick bay ... And also Fareez is addicted to the axe brand oil liao !! Siao liao !! He kept sniffing it lo !!
Oh, and i also stick a Logistic/Medic and a msg on my shirt stating "Look at this and you're dumb dumb" !! Then Akman was like asking the trainers to look at the msg and both of us were laughing when the other trainers look at my msg !!
Day 2 - 6th Feb
Wake up by the 2nd call from a grp trainer, i think it was Lyn while the 1st was by Nadia ... Then I went back to sleep with the green cap on my face to cover from the strong light !! And then wake up and wash up, pack my things and put it at the stage and went to the canteen for breakfast. After breakfast, they had team building games in the hall and the CRC in the field plus the zip line and the abseiling while i had to sort the size of the students campfire shirts at the kitchen house ... Then ard 11.30am the 2nd wave is going for their dragon boating and so they went to change to shorts and wet shoe ... Then had their lunch, and then onboard the bus to go to Kallang Sea Training Centre, and this time i'm attach to Zen's grp ... The Ultraman GRP !! YEAH !! Ok, reach the carpark first and from there leading the grp from the carpark to the place and same as day 1 form 2 lines and sit down, follow by another group and another !! Pass them the life jacket and oak and off we go, taught them on the 2 types of rowing method, the long and the short one ... Then paddle to the Benjamin Sheare's bridge while been splash by othe group but luckily i hold onto Anuar's camera and i was taking picture and so they nvr splash but my team, they started the racing competition early at the Benjamin Sheare's there as there's drizzling already, it was the tiring race as we had to paddle for a long distance as this is the very 1st dragon boating competition to be the longest paddling race in Innotrek lo ... Ok, took off the life jacket and place the oak on the ground ... The now had to assist the situation of the students changing clothes, while the trainers (Kristen, Crystal, Phebe, Shaun, Akman) including me were having fun at the water tap there pouring water on one another, then Phebe suddenly asked me: "First Aider nvr get wet at all right ??" Then i was like ok join in the fun and of course put my first aid bag aside and play with them lo, Phebe pour me already then i anyhow pour at them lo, then someone go use their shoe and pour on one another. Then i show them my shoe got milo !! Ah haha, then Kristen saw the colour of the water, it was really somehow like abit darker water colour and then i pour it on Kristen !! Ah haha !! YEAH !! Ok, then they put water inside the whistle and blow !! WAH, water droplets anyhow splash on us liao ah !! And then Shermaine came suddenly and Akman pour water on her !! And she was like saying aaaaaaa.......hhhhhhh....... Ok, and when after Phebe pour the water on me i was like trembling and jumping saying Wa lao, very cold ..... Ok, had enough already and back with our crowd control !! Rush them here and there !! Ok, then went back to the form up area and leave the place witb me leading Zen's grp and then onboard the bus and went back to LAC ... Then on the way back, Crystal & Zen asked me to sit and i told them cannot, because if i sit the seat already get wet and also it will be very cold for me lo !! And of course i share with them the wild wild wet we had overthere lo like the pouring of my shoe's milo on them ... On the way back it was drizzling, and it gets heavier and it gets lighter and we've reach the place already ... And they had 1 hr to bath and relax, then the nxt team don't know why took a long time to reach the place, i guess the bus weren't there yet ba !! And then i was told by Ismail to guard the toilet area as the 1st lvl will be boys and 2nd lvl will be girls !! Then after that, went to the quadrangle to clear the water off the ground then suddenly some trainers came and join in the fun. After that, we had our dinner and then the students had to change their shirt to the campfire shirt. Meanwhile went to sickbay and checkout my patient, another female student get sick while another boy got gastric ... And so i had to stay in the sickbay room to takecare of them la, then after awhile msg Wilfred abt how's going overthere for NCC training ... Then went to the campfire pit which is at the quadrangle ... Then went to the quadrangle to see the opening ceremony of the campfire ... Afterwhich they will proceed to the hall for their performance as the floor is dam wet after the rain. Anyway, the Sec 3 Nan Chiau High's are more onto cheerleading, there's pom pom and shaker ... Wah, there's even standing formation or whatever la, i got record some of the videos down on my phone !! Shall upload when there's time !! After that, they had a debrief by Ismail and then off they go ... Wave 1 had their dinner and Wave 2 had their supper first !! And the trainers having their debrief with their class, i was playing the drum borrowed from a class and also a kompang too ... Play and play until hand very pain then give up already !! Ok, 12.45am is their lights off but then the students were mingling with one another, girls came down to chat with boys all this ... Then Ismail told me to tell the trainers that to force the students to go and sleep and then i went to canteen to tell them and in an instance we mobilize and force them into their dorm ... And then there was a grp which play taupok until the bed bent into half, and they were told to pay $100 in total ... Well, meanwhile we were walking ard the place to rush the students into the dorm to sleep !! Hm, the girls kept making much noise than boys ... Alright everythings settled and now for a final nite debrief for the trainers ... Well, today was really a good one ... Had mutabak for supper and so share it with Fareez ... Yeah, only the both of us not involve in any other wks camp and so we can went off to bath and slp lo !! I shift mattress from the first aid room up to the stage to slp and also another mattress for Fareez too ... Then went down again to take pillow ... It was really dam nice to slp liao lo !! Well, the trainers had to sign and write comments on the NYAA booklet, i can slp already since i'm not involve in any NYAA stuffs ...
Casualties reporting ?? at least 6 ... Most of them were either having diziness from the campfire a.k.a concert, or sick and gastric ...
Today my msg on the masking tape was "Look here if you're an idiot" !!
Day 3 - 7th Feb
Next morning, rise and shine ... Wake up ard 7am, wash up and pack up as the students are moving into the hall. Dispatch them group by group to the canteen for breakfast. After breakfast, they had their area cleaning and i was in-charge of walking ard to see whether the trainers need any items/equipments la !! Then had to pass msg to the trainers from Ismail that the students had to be up at the hall by 10.40am, while they are making their move, i was packing/cleaning up the place. After which i went to the hall to see their final cheering !! Then slowly dispatch them to the bus and wave at them at the carpark. Then slowly the buses went off and i act as i'm late for the bus and running after it while waving and saying byebye to them !! And after the last bus went off, we the trainers cheer like siao lo !! Pack up and had a bath b4 we left the place ... Went to Harbourfront with the trainers and then we already had Shermaine, Hui Min left already. Ok then we had a vote on where we want to go and eat and so we started voting who wants to go to Hawker Centre ?? 3 vote and there we go to hawker centre, we didn't even ask who wants to go to macdonald ... Ah haha ... Then had lunch overthere and after that, Melissa, Yi Ling, Fareez & Akman left us already and now we went to vivocity with a few trainers left, Ismail, Kristen, Anne, Shaun, Hwa Jie, Phebe, Nadia and another guy i forget the name ... And then they lay down and lye onto the ground while i went to the sky park and walk on the water to relax ... After that i came back and they laugh at me saying that i just came back from my dragon boating ... Slowly, Nadia and that guy left first, then after awhile follow by Anne, then Hwa Jie & Phebe and then left only Shaun, Kristen, Ismail & me ... After then we left together but walk separate way, the 3 of them go other way while i walk another to take mrt !! Yeap said bye to them ... Oh yeah !! Went home and unpack everything ... Can't wait to have nice shower ... And use my computer and the update, well too tired and so went to sleep ard 530pm and wake ard 7.30pm and had dinner ... Started posting this until now !! Quite a long post ah !!!
Today's msg was "Look here and you're hot" !!
Oh well, the trainers find my shorts very funny cause they taught my shorts tear then i wear another short inside but eventually not becuase my short got 2 different colour, the full view is yellow but the small side is green and then they taught i wear another short inside !! Well, then they also find my bag very funny cause i'm the only smallest camp bag in this camp and seriously the smallest !! Akman kept telling the others my 3D2N bag is like that only !! Ah hahah !! Oh well, feel very tired now !! Need to sleep ah, tmr still got to go to temple to pray Tai Sui !!
